Do will still need our Disney Club membership if DVC owners?

Hi! We bought into DVC in June 2000 and at the same time had a Disney Club membership. DC will expire next month and the renewal cost is $30/year. We don't even get the Disney Magazine anymore which I REALLY miss

Aren't the multiday pass discounts about the same (DC and DVC)? We will rarely get a cash room now, which is what we used out DC card for originally.

Does anyone feel that I will miss some big discounts if we let our DC membership run out??

That depends on your vacation and spending habits. I maintain a DC membership for the National car rental discounts. I travel several times a year, and the discount more than pays the fees. Plus you'll get 10% at some store at DtD, and park ticket discounts.

The only DVC admission discount is on Ultimate Park Hoppers (10%). There is no DVC discount on other passes.

The DC discount is available at some of the DD stores- no DVC discount there.

You should check on the Disney Magazine, I think that's still included with DC membership.

We just renewed our DC membership, mainly for the discount on annual passes. On two passes we save about $30, so that pays for the membership. And if we buy any other passes, like hoppers for our guests, we also get about a 5% discount on those, The only DVC discount on passes is the UMP (length of stay) pass. But I thought we would still be getting the Disney magazine with our DC membership - has this changed?

I recommend keeping it also. The Disney store downtown disney is 10% off, we got a National fullsize for $159 for 9 days that would have been around $239, we also got Clearwater Hilton (it was on the DC list) ocean view for $159 a night during spring break Easter week, at check in the guy said that was about $100 a night less than most were paying, plus we saved our weekend points for this summer.

Just renewed mine! The National discount along with the Disney Store and park passes more than pays for itself.And you still get the Disney Magazine too.This years card is the Mickey self Portrait image and they sent a neat little binder,kind of like a mini DVC membership binder.

Thanks everyone....I will renew it. I never used my DVC discount on tickets and didn't know it was for UMP only (I know...I need to look these things up instead of simply asking you kind people )

I will call about our Disney Magazine subscription!!
