I know that here in PA, we normally don't see any wild rabbits outside once the snow hits. Does anyone know if wild cottontails hibernate? I was wondering what Thumper was going to do seeing how she IS technically a wild rabbit although she lives the life of a domesticated one (not many bunnies have maid service, laundry service and all the cheerios she can eat!! ) I have noticed she is eating a lot more (not storing it or anything...she eats every last piece!) and her coats is changing color as well (more reddish and white than brown). Should make for an interesting winter!! :bounce:

i don't think so. we used to see them (and their tracks and droppings :o ) in the winter when i lived in a more rural area.

They don't seem to hibernate, here in mid Michigan. I see their tracks in the snow all winter.

I'm in Lancaster county, PA and I see the bunny tracks in my yard all winter long. We love to watch our wild bunnies!!

How could they get all them egg's colored if they took the winter off.:wave2:

Hey, if you supply the eggs, I'm sure Thumper could supply the black "jelly beans"!!!
