We're taking advantage of the All-Star special rate in September for a brief weekend getaway. Our annual passes have expired and we're thinking of just doing a water park or maybe just hanging around Orlando and Downtown Disney. Will we be required to show some type of Disney pass in order to stay in this resort? I just saw something on a Disney site that lead me to believe that might be so. Anyone know?

There is no requirement to go to one of Disney parks in order to stay at a Disney Resort. Your plan is just fine. No park passes necessary! Of course, I'm not sure I could stay at Disney and NOT give in to the temptation. LOL! Enjoy your trip.

No, unless you got an AP rate. If you did, you will need to show the AP at check in to get that rate.
