do we need car seats

We are flying with a 15 month old...and not renting a car b/c we are staying in the park.... I am not sure if we should bring a car seat with us because we plan on taking a cab to Sea World one day. Will we need one?

I don't think that car seats are required by law in a cab, but it's a non-negotiable for us.

Some cab companies will provide a carseat. But I dont know how much faith I'd have in it.

just let the child sit in your lap on the plane (it's free that way).

most cabs should have a car seat, or have access to one. In FL, any child under 3 years old must be in a car seat. That's a good rule to follow IMHO.

We went a year ago and NONE of the cabs had carseats.

On buses you do not need one.

I found the details of a taxi driver I had in my favourites from last year - he does carry a car seat and his rates seem very reasonable. I emailed him for a quote and I was very happy with the price. As it turned out we didn't use him in the end because we changed our plans but he sounds good - http://www.orlandotaxiservice.com/

I actually called the taxi company, while planning for my trip in March. My DD is 2, and we may to take a few taxi trips (esp from resorts to resorts). The operator at the taxi company said they can offer car seats (without extra charge), but need to call them in advance. I will be staying in POFQ and the bell service also claims that car seats can be loaned thru them.
