Do we have to have trip paid in full before we can make any dining reservations?

A friend of mine is planning on booking a Disney trip tomorrow but she’ll be really close to her 180 day window opening and doesn’t have the ability to pay for the trip IN FULL right away. Can she pay JUST the deposit now and then book dining when the 180 day window opens? Thanks!!

Yes, she absolutely can.

You don't need to have a trip booked at all to make dining reservations at 180 days. And once you have a trip booked, you can make dining reservations for your full trip at your 180-day mark.

(That also means if she would cancel her trip for any reason, her dining reservations would not be affected and would have to be canceled separately. Just as a note!)

Actually you can book do dining reservations without even having a trip booked yet. In this case you can not make 180+10, just each day from 180 individually. If she has a trip booked, just with a deposit, she can do 180+10, so can book all her dining for her trip(up to 10 days).

*Just saw greentea had given you the same info right before me!
