Do we have a definitive answer on Alamo and which codes/coupons can be mixed?

I used the WalMart code and the Entertainment coupon for a weekly rate (total) of $128. I called Alamo to make sure this was okay and was told it was not, that you can only "use one discount". Then, the customer service person asked if I had a confirmed reservation using the code & coupon and I said, yes, I had it printed out. He went on to say then I'd be okay using them both!

I feel that gives me a 50/50 chance of it working when we actually pick up the car rental. I seem to recall someone else here called Alamo and they said you could use a coupon and online code...or what was it?

I used the walmart code and the alamo online coupon 2 weeks ago with no problem.

My best rate is on my reservation using the Wal-Mart code and $25 Entertainment coupon (don't ask how many different reservations I have at this point!) I hope by my trip in late August that someone will have used this combination and will be able to confirm that it is accepted. I will keep my DME reservation either way, but would like to be able to use my tags if I'm actually going to ride DME (if they don't honor the rate).

It seems like all the rental companies must be feeling the pinch from DME and would try to be accomodating, but you never know!
