Do very many adults dress up for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party

Sounds like sooooo much fun, do they sell adult size costumes in DTD or MK?
I want to get one!!!!:flower3:

We have dressed every year that we have gone this year with be our 4th year and the 1st year with a child. I even made my own Snow White Costume from scratch. It's the best fun. This year we are making my Hubby be Dopey but our son who will only be 15 months is going as Pooh's Hunny Pot! My mom and Dad go as well and they are older and they both dress! It the mostest mostest fun!

I'm going as belle, in her blue provincial dress. Last year, my DH and I were meg and hercules. Found the costumes at Walmart. They weren't labeled as such, but they were just lke them!!

We went to MNSSHP last year for the first time. We were a group of 10 - both kids and adults. We all dressed up in Snow White theme and had a blast. I would tell you to definitely dress up!! It is so fun to see all the creativity that some people have and of course the costumes were great conversation starters on the buses to and from the resorts -- fun way to meet people. I have to share one of the best ideas I seen. I liked when groups of people dressed in a theme. One group were crayons! Really simple idea and it worked so well. Plastic flower pots, worn upside down became the "crayon point" and were painted the appropriate color. The body of the crayon was bright colored jogging suits and even their sneakers were painted to match! Let me tell you -- that group didn't lose each other as you could always find them in a crowd!! Have fun and make sure you trick or treat at the treat stands!!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We went in Sept last year and plenty of adults were in costumes, including us!!!!!!!:goodvibes

We went last year and there were quite a few adults dressed up- not elaborately. Some just had funny hats- stuff they bought while they were there. We didn't dress up-but DH and I had a blast trick or treating with our two DS!!:cool1:

My husband and I dressed up as scarecrows last year and were very hot, so this year we are going as Hawaiian beach lifeguards (luckily we have the shirts) to stay cool and comfy. All I can say is dress in costume comfortably, but definitely DO dress up! Its loads of fun!

This is our first trip for the Halloween Party and it's three adults no kids. We're wondering if it's mostly for kids or do adults really dress up too?
:confused3
We did last year. It was great. I would say about 75% of the children were in costume and at least 50%, maybe more, of the adults were in costume the night we attended the MNSSHP.

I am glad to hear that adults dress up as well, I just ordered my Buzz outfit last night and I was concerned I would be a bit out of place. I can't seem to find many photos of anyone dressed up though hence my concern.

I would!!! Sounds like so much fun...I love halloween-I don't know why we have never gone that time of year. Maybe next year that should be a consideration for us! So dress up & have a blast!

Last time I went to the Halloween Party I skipped wearing my costume for fear that other adults wouldn't be dressed up.... I was so wrong....there were many adults with and without children dressed up for the party and to have a fun time....

Next time, I'm wearing a costume!

Have fun! pirate:

There were more dressed up adults when we went than adults who didn't have on costumes. Some of the villians were even ragging on the people who didn't have on costumes "Don't you know what Halloween party means" :rotfl2:

We dressed up, and will do so again this year!

The whole point of going is to dress up! If you can't act like a kid in Disney, where can you? Dressing up & trick-or-treating are part of what makes this party a blast, regardless of age.

My only advice is make sure to wear sensible shoes, or you'll end up on the curb outside Pecos Bills applying bandaids before the parade.

Have a blast!

ouch! I think crocs would have looked lovely with those outfits, lol :lmao:

BTW, I love the thing about Disney hair. So true!:rotfl:

My parents are going for their 50th anniversary , with us, but we can't convince them to dress up. I've been 2 times before, but I just can't seem to convince them they will not be out of place. They have always dressed up for parties around home for Halloween. :confused3 I mean if you're going to dress up anywhere, you should be able to dress up in Disney and be silly right?

Thank you all for making me feel better about wanting to dress up. DH and I are going on 9/9 to the MNSSHP and were planning on dressing up as pirates but weren't sure if a lot a adults dress up. Can't wait to go now and be a kid again!

We'll be there on 9/9 also! Look for the 'old' (ha! I'm 44) woman in a red ballgown with diamond earrings and tiara, DD10 is going in her red Belle dress (minus the long sleeves) and DH is going Hawaiian.

We'll be on the lookout for pirates. We love pirates!

I'm sure we'll all have a ball!

I'm SO GLAD I posted this and got the response that I did. We have decided to go as pirates! I'm SO excited now I can't wait. We're going to the Sept 16th MNSSHP.
