Do they sell shorts for men anywhere at Disneyworld?

My input for what it's worth.
I'd drop the issue with him and for your own comfort, do what you do for you and maybe get a couple pairs of cargo shorts in his size but don't take the tags off so if he never gets uncomfortable and is fine with jeans, you can return the shorts when you get home. I personally wouldn't tell him about the shorts unless he starts to show signs of being uncomfortable and expresses it.

I agree that doing any form of "I told you so" is a quick way to ruin a vacation and relationship.

Also consider the size you might need; once i was wearing khakis in EPCOT and somehow split the seam in the seat. I had to have a pair of something to get out of the park with my dignity intact; at Mouse Gears I had to get a pair of 3XL sweat shorts because that was the closest they could get to my XXL size. The color was a sickly grey with torn bottoms like cutoff jeans. The khaki shorts I have seen in various places are not only expensive but have a limited size range.

That's what I thought. I haven't been able to convince him to buy any (he doesn't own shorts). He's originally from Texas where it is hot but dry, and visited Florida once but not to theme parks where he was out all day.

I think I'll pick up a couple cheap pairs for him at Walmart and pack them in my suitcase as a surprise.
That way, I don't have to nag him, and he won't have to choose between being comfortable and going broke
