DH and I are making our first trip to WDW and we're staying at SSR.

We're going to be there for 4 nights, so I'd like to buy 4-day hoppers for us. I was going to order them online, but after you add in the shipping charges, it really wouldn't save us any money, so I thought that we might as well buy them at SSR if they sell them there.

So, do they sell park tickets at SSR?

Can we get them and pay for them during check-in, and if so, how much time will this add to the check-in process?

Do they put it all on your room key-card, or are the hopper tickets seperate?

We're also doing the DDP. Do we get some kind of card for that as well?

(Can you tell by these questions that we're DL veterans and WDW virgins?  )

Thanks for your help.:)

Your dining plan will be on your room key (AKA Key to the World). Yes, you can get park passes at the resorts, and they can be encoded onto the key card as well. With your Key to the World, you can also charge purchases back to your room throughout WDW. There is also complimentary package delivery of your purchases from the parks and downtown Disney to your resort gift shop, where you can pick them up. Allow 24 to 48 hours for delivery, depending upon the time of day you make your purchase.

Yes, but can they do all that at the check-in/registration desk, or do we have to go to the concierge desk to get the park passes? (Does SSR have a concierge desk?):confused3

I don't know if they still add tickets at check-in, or if you have to go to concierge desk. I have APs...so I don't get tickets at the resort. The dining plan is encoded as part of the check-in.

And as far as I know you can do it either way, but don't hold me to that lol. Our experience was like this: We went with the intention of not going in any parks, but we did ask at check-in about it, just in case, and the CM offered to include anything we wanted onto our key cards then. We declined at the time. Then a couple days later, dh decided we should have lunch at the living seas restaurant, so he called concierge to arrange for reservations and 1-day tickets to Epcot. He walked on over later and had it (the 1-day) added to our key cards - I honestly don't know if he did it at concierge or the check-in desk, but I assume it was concierge since that's who he called about it. That was last June, so I'm not sure if everything's still the same though. Hopefully somebody with a more recent experience can help you a bit more.
