Do they rent strollers and motorized wheelchairs at WDW?

If so, how much?

Next question, do the strollers or wheelchairs have storage so we can put our autograph books and the such?

Can we bring our own stroller on Disney transportation?

How do you fly with your stroller? Do you strap it up and put it on as luggage?

Thanks so much!

If you are thinking of renting an ECV, you might want to look at the "sticky" on the top of the disABILITIES board. Good info. If you will need one for several days, it is much cheaper to rent off-site. to rent from disney was $30 in January, i believe.

Per the stroller, we only rented one for one day this year and can't remember how much it cost.

For ECV Rental call Walker Mobility in Orlando they are also on the web. You get the ECV 24 hrs a day for the same price or less than renting daily. No worry if they will have one when you get there. And all disney Transportation is accessible.

Yes, all the parks rent single and double strollers. I think the singles are $8 per day and the doubles are $14. Last time we checked, wheelchairs were $8 per day and ECVs were $40 I think. In 2003, we traveled with my father in law who was dying of lung cancer and needed a wheelchair for him. We ended up getting one right at our resort and they told us we could keep it until the end of our stay, which worked out beautifully. This was not a motorized wheelchair, you had to push it.

I would highly recommend bringing your own stroller from home. Our first trip w/ DD we rented from an offsite place. Our second trip w/ DD we brought ours from home and it was the BEST decision we ever made. DD fell asleep on the way to the airport and we were able to wheel her around. It would have been a nightmare trying to lug a sleeping 2 yr old through the airport with all our carryon baggage.

You can bring your stroller on all disney transportation. Monorail and *some* boats (MK ferry) you can just roll right on. With busses and other boats (smaller WL boat) you have to fold it up.

To check your stroller on the airplane - when you check your luggage tell them you wish to "gate check" your stroller. When you get on the plane you'll wheel your stroller up to the point of just before you enter the plane. Fold it up and leave it there. The airline will put the stroller on the plane (where? I'm not 100% sure) and when you get off the plane it will be there waiting for you. VERY easy to do :)
