Do they really split up a party of 7?

I made ADRs for our party of 7, and was told we may be split up at CRT, Whispering Canyons, & Rose & Crown. We are 4 adults and 3 kids. Will they really split us up?

We are meeting friends at Ohana one night and will be a party of 12, and they said we will be split up there too.

12 people, I can understand...but will they really split up my family of 7?

ADRs were made this morning when my 180 day window opened up.

Not for the 7, it says that for everyone regardless of party size

It is possible. Last year we were a party of eight and split twice, at Mama Melrose and Le Cellier. Fortunately the nice hostess at MM gave us a choice to wait a few extra minutes, otherwise we would have been in back to back booths. At Le Cellier the tables were close but there was a gap which made conversation a little awkward. Many restaurants just don't have to larger tables to accommodate bigger parties.

Of course they could.

But it's also an automatic response; we get it for our party of 3.

We had 6 in our party for our 8 night recent trip to WDW. Approx 1/3 of our ressies said that we may need to split us. In all cases we were seated together. Be prepared to split up but chances are that if you are willing to wait then you can all be seated at one table.

With a party of 7 there can be the possibility, depending on the restaurant. But as for the message, even parties of one have gotten it. It is just there to alert diners to the possibility, so that guests will not be surprised if it needs to happen. It does not mean your party WILL be split up.

We are always a party of 10 and have been going yearly for 6 years and have a daily ressie for 2 weeks. We have never been split up except being at two different tables side by side with room in between. But never away from each other. They just don't draw the tables together always so the characters can get in there in between.

We were a party of 8 at Rose & Crown and we were split into two groups of 4. At least they were able to seat us in adjacent tables.

We had 13 people and it said that on ALL of our ADR's. We were never split up at ANY of our 10 ADR's. Unless you want to consider we were in 2 booths NEXT to each other at coral reef.

Don't know about the other 2, but I've eaten at CRT with parties of 9 and 10 and never been split up. It's probably rare that they have to split parties, and they may give you the option of splitting up to reduce your wait if all the big tables are full. I wouldn't stress about it though, chances are it won't be an issue at all. :goodvibes
