Do they really pick up your luggage at the airport??

will they let you board the bus to the resort with your luggage? (first time staying at a Disney resort)
YES! You can take any of your bags on the bus with you if you'd like. You can pick up your checked bags at the luggage carousel and give those, along with your larger carry-ons, to the driver who will store them under the bus. When you get to your resort the driver will get them out for you and you can then head into the resort. If your room isn't ready you can leave them with bell services.

**looks like @marchingstar beat me to the bunch and brought up a good point --- if you plan on getting your bags yourself, don't attach the yellow luggage tags Disney will send you. If you do put those tags on, your bags get pulled before they even enter the terminal.

I'm glad to hear our luggage won't be sitting on the carousel. I didn't realize they would gather it prior to the terminal. My mind is at ease now LOL

So long as it's within the stated hours, yup -- there are people to collect them! If you arrive outside of those hours then yes, your bags will spin until they get put aside till the next day!

We cleared US Customs in Vancouver at YVR as well, arrived in Orlando as domestic passengers.
Our bags were delivered about 5 hours after we arrived. We went at the start of spring break. Definitely put anything you may need in the first 24hrs in your carry on!

I have used the yellow tags many, many times without a problem. Until, my last trip. In future I will only tag my bags for DME if my flight is arriving around 4pm at the latest. In all my past experiences I had my bags within about an hour of checking in at the resort. My trip in March was not the case. It took 5.5 hours AFTER I checked in. Needless to say I was not pleased. My flight landed at 7:10pm and I was inside my room at the resort before 8:40pm....my bags came at 2am.

If you are coming in later and still want to make use of DME luggage delivery just call them and have your bags held until the morning. I knew I could do that but I wanted my bags and never in a million years did I think it would take so long. Plus, there comes a point when you've waited so long a little more doesn't matter.

Just to clear something up. You will not depart a flight from Pearson, bound for the USA without first passing through US customs. There are no exceptions. You cannot get into US departure gates without passing through customs.

Thank you very much.
Our flight arrives around 8:35p.m. and we would rather have our bags straight away than have to wait for them. :)
