Do taxis have car seats? Taxi cost to Orlando Premium Outlets?

We will be staying at the Pop Century Resort during Christmas time and would like to spend two days (December 26 and 27) shopping at the Orlando Premium Outlets (or somewhere similar). It seems that rental car prices are quite high at that time: about 210 dollars for those 2 days for a standard sized car (for example from Alamo, Dollar or Thrifty). We first thought of renting a car for those 2 days but now we are considering just taking taxi.

We are 2 adults and a 2-year-old. Do taxis have car seats? Could we get one if booked beforehand? Do they then charge extra?

We are from Europe and don't know much about the taxi costs in Orlando :). How much would it approximately be for a taxi ride from the Pop Century Resort to the Orlando Premium Outlet Mall at 8200 Vineland Avenue, Orlando? The map says it would be approximately 8 miles (15 minutes if little traffic).

So which option would be better for us: to rent a car and a car seat for 2 days, or take taxis on both days (4 trips)?

Personally, I would call and arrange for a cab with a car seat. Many will come on and say you shouldn't trust those car seats. That's their prerogative.

Another option is to purchase a car seat just for the trip and try to find some way to "hand it down" to someone coming on property when you're done.

I can't help you what the taxi would cost though.

You can look up fares at taxifarefinder.com

A cab is going to run you around $100 or so round trip, plus tip. If traffic is bad it could be quite a bit higher. I would rent a car.

As far as car seats, yes you can get a cab that has one, but do be aware that there is no guarantee of cleanliness or safety.

We took a taxi from POFQ to the Premium Outlets on Vineland and it was only about $20 each way. (We were catching the Lego shuttle that ran from there) Sounds like that would be much cheaper!

Where in the world did you come up with 100.00 round trip? Using the exact addresses of each location and the mears fare estimator it comes up to $18.40 even with traffic it wouldn't come close to $100 round trip.

I was thinking about the one on I drive, which seems to be the more popular one. The one on Vineland is closer and would be around $40 round trip.

I will answer to my own question, if anyone else is trying to find out the same thing. We brought our own car seat. And the taxi cost about 23 $ one way.
