do sleeping habits conflict?

When on vacation with a infant and a toddler, if the infant wakes up in the middle of the night, does your toddler too? We will be vacationing with a 2 month old and 2.5 year old. We were concerned how to deal with that.

Also, does a 2.5 year old sleep in a packnplay on vacation or a regular bed with rails? We didn't know if we will need 2 packnplays. Also, does the hotel provide bed rails?

We currently have enough points in dvc to do 2 trips per year in a studio or 1 trip per year in a one bedroom. We really want to do the studio, but are trying to figure out logistically how to make that work.
Thanks!

It really depends on the kids. My DD is a very sound sleeper. When DS woke in the middle of the night on our first family WDW trip, DD never even moved. Of course, nothing would settle DS down until DH took him for a walk in the stroller. Aparently, OKW is boring at 3:00AM, because DS fell back to sleep pretty quickly once in the stroller. He ended up spending the rest of the night sleeping in the bed with us.

As for the PNP, again it depends on the child. When DS was almost 3, we went to WDW. He insisted on sleeping in the PNP, even though he was in a regular bed at home. He could have shared the queen bed with his sister, be he wanted the PNP. Later that week we moved to AKL for a few nights and we were given a room with bunkbeds. I thought the kids would be excited about the bunkbeds, although I didn't know if I would allow DD to sleep in the top bunk as she was not quite 5 yrs old. Luckily, I didn't have to worry because again, DS wanted the PNP.

The resorts do have bedrails if you want to put your toddler in a bed. The beds at OKW are very high, so I still ask for bedrails for my 6 yr old.

Thanks! We are going to wdw next march. I'll hopefully be pregnant by then. We probably will not go back to wdw until the next March.Which will make dd 2.5 and d? 6-7 months. So he/she will hopefully be sleeping most of the night. Can you ask for an extra packnplay or crib?

We will probably go to Gatlinburg next fall, so we will have the same issue, as far as 1 bedroom and 4 people.

I'll tell you what, when we went and our youngest was under 1 yr, we splurged on a one bedrom villa, just so we could close the door on people who were sleeping. It might be worth getting, just for that, but the kitchen would be very valuable with little ones as well.

thanks! We just don't have the points yet to do a 1 bedroom. We think we will wait until our new one is 7 months to go to wdw. By then, hopefully will be sleeping thru the night!
