Our last day at MK is May 8th. It appears that Jungle Cruise is set to reopen May 9th. Do these rides ever reopen ahead of schedule? It's our kids first trip to Disney (6, 4, and 2) and I think they'd love the ride... TIA!!!

We were there in December when Haunted Mansion was supposed to be closed until the next week. Found out when we got home that it was open the last 2 days we were there!

Frequently, actually. But you can't set your watch by it.

Yes, referb's can be finished early. Sometimes they run longer than expected. Perhaps this pixie dust will help. pixiedust:

Common. Splash opened a few days early on our Jan trip. You'll have to ask CMs because it won't be publicized, may only be open for part of the day, and FP will not be bookable during soft opening.

Unfortunately, reopening late is also common.

In 2010 Small World was supposed to be closed until after we left. We just happened to be walking by on our last day and it was open. No announcements or lines. You just have to keep checking.

I was wondering the same thing - where do you find this information? We are going to be there March 11 and it's one of my fave's...hoping it will be open...

You won't find the information ahead of time it won't be announced. You just have to check for yourself.

I think that's a little unfair - with all the pre-planning Disney is forcing us to do, the least they could do is share with us when they expect rides to be closed for refurbishment...especially if it's a longer closure. They want us to commit...so they should too!

The refurbishments aren't any secret. I don't know why you got that response above. Just google "disney ride refurbishments." disney ride refurbishments 2015

Thanks so much for letting me know...phew...I'm glad...that sounded pretty un-Disney like lol

Yup! During my trip in December, I was broken-hearted that Haunted Mansion was scheduled to be closed. What a nice surprise when I walked by to see a line...it was open! I think that they'll get it opened back up as soon as possible, and that the refurb listings are generous so no one is disappointed to find it's closed when it wasn't scheduled to be. Like expired milk! Milk doesn't usually expire right on the date they put on there, but they sure as heck don't want to let it expire BEFORE that, so they put an expiration cushion, if you will. I think it's kinda like that.

Just had a look at the list and pirates of the carribean is shut whilst we are visiting. This is our kids first trip and they were looking forward to that one and us oh well I guess they all shut at one time or another. Still lots more to do

Sorry. The refurbishments are posted well in advance. What I was talking about was the "soft-openings" they have, where they re-open the refurbished ride a few days or so before the official reopening. These will not be announced as they aren't official.
