We have some unused plus options on our park hoppers from last time we went ot the world. Can plus options be used for admission to disney quest?

Thanks!

No, the old hopper plus passes do not include DQ.

But the new MYW tickets will give you the option of using your plusses at Disney Quest. Unfortunately, the old hoppers did not. If you would like, you could take your old tickets to a ticket window, and see what they are worth. If it is worth it to you, they can take the amount that your old ticket is worth and apply it to the new MYW tickets that include no expiration, park hopper option and the plusses. You cannot downgrade these tickets, so you would have to incl the non expiring and park hopping options and of course the plusses on your new tickets. For the money, you would be better off just buying a DQ pass.

As far as I know - you can apply the value of any unused admission towards the purchase of ANY admission that's more than the value of your unused admission. So in this instance, the only option that would HAVE to be purchased would be the plusses, for the DisneyQuest admission.

... any admission that is more ...

There is one other thread going around where they are saying that "more" means "equal or more treating each feature, attribute, characteristic, and option separately".

From what I understand, that is:

If the original ticket had 3 days left, the new ticket has to have at least 3 days.

If the original ticket did not expire (all standard non-MYW tickets do not expire) the new ticket has to have non-expiration.

And also if the old ticket had so many dollars of value, there is no dollar refund in the upgrade transaction. (usually the dollar value remaining on the old ticket buys less Disney fun worth of new ticket compared with using the old ticket as-is)

etc.

The dollars you need to add to purchase the new ticket depends on meeting all of these criteria.

Finally, I am told that a ticket with some plusses but no days remaining has zero dollars of trade in value.

Correct me if I am wrong, or perhaps this may all change after/as the bugs are worked out.

I don't know if there's any correction to be made. :confused3

The way it used to work - and I hadn't seen anything prior to this that said contrary - was that equal or more referred ONLY to dollar value. Whether we were talking upgrading, or applying dollar value of partially used admission.

If you had a convention ticket that expired and had DisneyQuest available as a plus option instead of the water parks, you could upgrade that to any hopper that cost more than that convention ticket - and the features of those admission didn't match up.

I hadn't seen ANYTHING that said that the policy was changing, which is why this is throwing me for a loop.

However, if you only have plusses left on your ticket, they won't be worth much at all, of anything. Also, it is my understanding that in the class that those working at WDW took, the old tickets if you want the amount applied have to be converted to another ticket with the same options...so that would be no expiration and the PH option. I have a friend who works in tickets, so I will be sure to ask so we will all be on the same page.

Didn't know that you even could trade in an old promotional expiring ticket for something that didn't expire but it is good to know you can(?; still?).

But back then there were no kinds of tickets that you could upgrade to that included Disney Quest, other than resort length of stay passes (UPH) and premium annual passes, so you got and had to take the closest thing.
