A new year a new trip. The Grand Floridian didn't pass the mustard. Pass the cheese? CUT the mustard. Certainly not cut the cheese. P U. Okay, not that the resort didn't cut the mustard, it never got a chance to do anything really. Sure it just stands there, what can it do? Thing is, I had to cancel my January trip to the GF. So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, I'm sorry you're out, please pack your knives and go. Apologies to Rodgers and Hammerstein AND Heidi Klum AND Padma Lakshmi. I'm mixing more than metaphors today, I'm mixing mixin's, and I'm sure fixin's may be mixed when I fix to mix at Pecos Bill's on the newly scheduled trip.

With that out of the way, hi I'm Sassagoula Billy. You're late, where have you been?

That's Joey. Well he's not really here right now per se. But he'll be on the trip.

Dates? When? Where? Stay tuned my lovelies.

Update

Now that I see you're all just chomping at the bit for what is to follow.

::crickets::

Wait, you're all standing? Well heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it's time for our next show. There's folks outside, go take a ride --

--wait, you're sitting back down? You mean, you're interested in finding out more about my trip?

Well whaddya know!

Okay, so it's like this. We didn't have anything planned this year because i was like, the MK is under attack! It's this caterpillar-chrysalis-constructionland. The Magic Hardhat. Wait, I didn't say anything about hats. Hats are the enemy. Did you know that? I don't know if you knew that. Hats are definitely out. At least, hats the size of water towers.

Hidden agenda? What hidden agenda? My agenda is anything but hidden.

But back to the pre-trip report.

So, off to constructionland we go. Or decorative tarpland. Walt-to-Walt Construction World. How does one make a pardon-our-dust experience more attractive? By focusing on those things or places that we A) haven't experienced, or B) rarely revisit.

Things like:

- Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach (I went to River Country as a child, and that's the extent of my water park exploration).
- Fantasia Gardens and Winter-Summerland (Haven't been since '02)
- Restaurants galore (never visited): bluezoo, Kona Cafe (for breakfast), Yachtsman Steakhouse, Le Cellier (the new dinner menu), 50s Primetime, La Hacienda, Via Napoli
- Restaurants galore (haven't been back in years): Artist Point, Sci-Fi

It's still a toss-up of whether to return to Port Orleans: French Quarter, splurge a bit on AKL, or go on over and try Coronado Springs for the first time.

Will keep you posted. I know you're on nins and peedles.

Heyyyyyyy, I remember you! Weren't you planning to stay at the Grand Floridian? I don't remember what ended up happening with that. Anyway, I'm in for this one! :dance3:

We also hope to have time for the water parks on our next trip since we are going for a longer period of time. Kona is my favorite place to have breakfast at WDW, we never miss it. You will love it.

I will post your link on my TR so you can hopefully get some readers here cause I really liked your other TR.

I was interested, but I love the hat, so I guess I can't read anymore! :confused3 :rotfl:
