We bought a beautiful patio set last April from Fortunoff (when going out of business) by Agio. We spent $1500 on this aluminum set. Well we took it out from storage today and noticed the finish is peeling off one of the legs. Called Agio and they said that since we bought it from Fortunoff after they declared bankruptcy, it is not covered by ANY warranty from them. They also considered it STOLEN merchandise since Fortunoff declared bankruptcy. So anyone who bought anything from Fortunoff after 2/17/09 - you have NO MANUFACTURER WARRANTY on anything you bought!

Bob Gaylord, CEO of Agio, should honor their merchandise regardless of where it was bought. Will never buy any of their furniture ever again. Such poor customer service.

I just read the terms of their warranty on their website, and it would seem that they are indeed following the terms set forth.

They indicate that the warranty is valid only when the items are sold by an "authorized retailer", and does not cover items on clearance. I'd say your set falls under both those exclusions: in most cases, once a store declares bankruptcy the inventories are sold off to liquidators. The inventory no longer belongs to the "authorized retailer" but to the liquidator. In addition, it most likely would be considered a 'clearance' item since it was during a liquidation sale.

I am sorry! That stinks... Go to Home Depot/Lowes....they sell Spraypaints that will match the aluminum sets well.... You won't even be able to tell. Sorry that happened.
