Here's a Budget Tip: Do not purchase VIORE or AKai products!! You will be out your money if they do not work properly. My 42" Plasma worked 20 minutes out of the box before losing the picture. It took the repair service 3 weeks to pick it up and another 2 to tell me there was nothing they could do and it would be replaced.

I have been dealing with them for over a month trying to get this broke-from-the-factory Plasma replaced. All I get is the run around about "corporate" not responding yet. They will not give me a number to corporate.

VIORE is made by AKAI, and serviced by them too. Just a couple of days ago they changed their message from Akai customer service to VIORE customer service, so they must be gearing up for all the holiday suckers that will purchase their crappy TV's. I have seen this sold at Sam's, Walmart, and just recently at JC Penney's.

Do a google search and you will find many unhappy customers.

Save your money and time :furious:

Where did you purchase this? Sam's and Wal Mart have very liberal return policies... a little late, I know, but some items are dead out of the box, and this seems to be one. Again, late advice, but you should have returned it to the store for a refund/replacement.

We have an AKAI tv near our hot tub - for about 3 years now - no problems with it.

Tina, Dh and I hauled this TV back to Walmart and all they did was print out the Warranty information from the manufacturer and told me to call them. We then hauled it back home and called for service.

Those purchasing electronics from Walmart should be very careful. I just called the store I purchased my TV from to get clarification of the return policy from the manager and he said it is based on the Manufacturer recommendations. Once you take it out of the store, you deal with the manufacturer or if the man. says return to store then you can return it.

I probably would have had better luck from Sams, but I will most likely be cancelling my membership with them by year end as I am done with all the Walton's!

Im happy to hear your AKAI works without issue, I believe VIORE was purchased by AKAI, but their Customer Service stinks!

You know, if it were me, I would dispute this with your credit card.... hopefully you paid with one. If it worked only 20 minutes & they've come to look at it & can't fix it & then give YOU the runaround... I'd say it's time to call this one in.

I had issues with a company (I won't name names) but after dealing with them for a couple of weeks and constantly getting the run around I threatened to contact Good Housekeeping (they do that column to help people in these situations), my local newspaper and anybody else I could get to listen. I fully planned on doing so but I think I scared the company because within an hour they had refunded me my full $400... maybe you could try to contact Good Housekeeping?! Also, I am not sure if you tried these numbers yet... but I saw them posted on a message board to contact Viore.
