Do many people cancel at the 45 day mark?

We are booked at AKL for Nov 9-16th and happy with that - but in my planning, there have been more than a few times where I thought "Oh, it would be great if we were staying at the Contemporary!" (ie. for our early morning Chef Mickeys ADR and our late night Pirates & Pals cruise)

I have checked a few times and CR is always fully booked. I'm sure it's even more solid since it's in the FD window too, but I'm wondering if I should keep checking? I thought if some people cancelled at 45 days, maybe something would open up? :confused3

dvc has a waitlist - would call and ask CM if CRO has sonmething similar?

but think it is around 5% who cancel at the last minute.

We are booked at CBS with free dining September 29- October 6, I keep calling trying to get por riverside. They have open rooms- just not with free dining:( I will keep trying though-

There is no wait list for cash reservations, unfortunately.

Rooms that are cancelled with free dining do not always go back into inventory as free dining, for obvious reasons. If by that time, the resort is nearly full, there is no reason to reinstate them as promos of any kind.
