so the wet attractions are

Curious George at Universal

Popeye & Bluto at IoA

(ds is too short for Dudley)

and what is the Mystic Fountain at IoA, do you get wet?

oh, and just noticed Jurassic Park River Adventure, is the drop similar to Splash Mountain or is it too scary for a 5 yr old?

Love to play but hate to be soggy, so I think I'm going to pack a backpack and get a locker...good idea?

Thanks!

The Mystic Fountain at IOA is extremely amusing, especially if it gets into conversation with adults. If you dont want to get wet, keep your distance, the fountain has good distance when it shoots out water.
As for Jurassic Park, for a 5 year old, IMHO it would be to intense. Outside of the building is ok for him, but once you enter the JP building, it may be to scary for a 5 year old, also the drop is more intense than Splash Mountain, faster and steeper. I dont know if its higher than SM, but its pretty close. :scared1:

Make sure you pay a visit to The Mystic Fountain!:genie: Make a wish and make sure you get nice and close since hes a bit hard of hearing :listen:

I can spend lots of time in this area :rotfl2:

Kids also can get wet at If I Ran the Zoo in Seuss Landing. You get a little spritzed on One Fish, Two Fish in SL, too.

Also, Jaws at USF will get you somewhat wet on the left side of the boat. I don't know if that one might be too scary for your 5 y/o. The ride itself is tame, but there is that pesky great white shark!

Also, there are water shooters in Camp Jurassic at IOA which will get kids wet.

The Mystic Fountain is refreshingly entertaining;)

Thanks everyone for all the great info. Just trying to make a plan to do all the stuff you get wet on at the same time.

The mystic fountain sounds like a blast.

Ds is fearless and is looking forward to both the jaws ride and the Jurassic Park ride, so we'll see how it goes. Thanks for the warning!

That link is great too Phamton, thanks!

It's about 30' higher. JP's drop is 85 feet!

The Mystic Fountian (Rocky) can be mean! Do not try to engage him in an insult contest. He will not be gentle!
When you are in "Me Ship" there is a piano. Play the color coded notes and your 5 year old will be amused.
My daughter did JPRA at 5 and loved it. Its a good idea to do the water stuff all together. Its not common but we have got soaked on JPRA. It has never happened to us but some have reported getting soaked on One Fish, Two Fish.

My boys LOVED Mystic Fountain, being 9 and 12. The more they insulted Rocky, the wetter they got and they had a blast. They were absolutely soaked, but isn't that what boys live for? LOL

And my 6 yo dd and I got soaked on One Fish Two Fish. She loved it.

You can get very, very, very wet at kidzone in Universal Studios.

Great pictures! This area is so much fun! I love when the bell sounds just before the big dump and watching all the kids run to get soaked. Just as fun is watching all the people look up that have no idea whats about to come down!

Oh my gosh, that looks so fun!!!! Thanks for the pics, they're great...adding Kid zone to my list!

Yes, the Curious George area of Kidzone is great, especially during the summer.

There's also a ball factory with lots of balls that drop and ball cannons.
