Do I really need FP+ for week of 5/4?

Hi there,
So I did book my FP+'s for MK, Epcot and Studios for the week of 5/4. However, i'm wondering if I truly need them for Epcot and Studios as the crowd calendars have them as 3 on our days....and i think i actually like my touring plans better when I don't add in the fast passes!
Even though we are seasoned Disney visitors, this is our first time with fp+ and i'm wondering if i am worrying too much about ride availability during this time of year.
Should i just keep them and see how the days evolve????

If you don't mind waiting for the popular stuff like Soarin' or TSMM, then no you don't need them. Waits for those, unless you hit them right at rope drop, will likely be an hour or more.

Given the limited number of headliner attractions in those parks, and the fact that so many other people will be using FP, I would say you absolutely will want to use it on those days.

There really is no down side to scheduling some. The worst that could happen is that you miss your times, and then you'd be no worse off than if you hadn't used it at all.

I would keep the fastpasses. The crowds might be lighter but those people all tend to head for certain rides which can back them up even on quiet days. Besides you don't HAVE to use them if you decide to things differently after you get to the parks.

Thanks for the quick replies. you're right about Soarin and TSMM, and I do have "good" times for those 2...Keeping them all and we'll go with the flow...

We only feel like we need FPs for the headliners as mentioned - Soarin or TT, TSMM, RnRC, TOT. We don't end up using all 3 FP+ in each park, haven't found it necessary.

No reason not to get them, if you dont need them then no harm. Likely will save you some time for a headliner, just make dummy FP for the others because you have to select three.

I'll be there the same week (EPCOT on 5/4 and HS on 5/5) and I felt that they were definitely needed at HS -- I chose TSMM, Star Tours and my "dummy" FP of Muppet Vision because I HAD to make 3. We'll probably use it, to see if we can get a 4th after for Fantasmic! If not, we'll just get there around 45 minutes ahead of time and hope for a decent spot.
