Do I need to physically go to Resort to start DP and get Park Tickets?

We are thinking of doing a resort change after our first night. Our second resort will have our package with DP. We'll be busy at our first resort the first night and then will start out bright and early in MK the second morning. The way our ADRs are set up that day in MK, we wouldn't have time to get out to our second resort until late the second night. I don't know how all this KTTW and DP and park ticket mumbo jumbo works. Can anyone help me?

Yes, you do. You can't get the KTTW with the dining plan added to it until you check in at that resort. You can check in as early as 6AM, but your room might not be ready.

As the pp said, you have to check in at the 2nd resort to get your KTTW cards with your park tickets and DDP credits activated. Since the computers roll over at 6 a.m., you can check in at the 2nd resort at that time, but you do have to go there first in order to get your park tickets and use the DDP.

No you need to check in that morning to get your KTTW

It is, but you can't get your dining credits early.

Yeah - I'm not worried about starting the dining early... but I am there a day and a half before it sounds like free dining starts. I'd like to get into the park the day before and would be absolutely fine with buying my food that day!

I just don't want to be stuck buying an extra one-day park ticket before FD starts!!!!

I had read on a post the other day a similar situation. I myself am checking in 2 days prior to FD so was very interested in it. They said you can get passes only up to 3 days earlier than the package starts. You have to go to Guest Services though to do so. Not all CM's know about this though but it is possible.

Yes, you can get your park tickets up to 3 days before the start of a package. Go to any guest relations at any park and request early ticket pick up. We did this in December 2010 without any problems. All I needed to show was a photo ID, but others have reported needing their package confirmation number, so I would have that with you just in case.

You can get your tickets any time as long as it's not more than 3 days prior to the start of your package .

When is your trip? The magic bands thing is close to being rolled out. It may change everything regarding check in. I believe one of the "perks" is to be able to do it from home and skip the resort desk.

I guess we'll all have to wait and see exactly how it will work.
