Do I need to have a ressie already to then get an AP rate?

Do I need to have a ressie already to then get an AP rate or can I just book a ressie with the AP rate? I currently have ressies for five at the Dolphin June 12-19 at a rate of $129. If a decent AP rate or other discount comes out for my dates, I might be interested in switching. We stayed at Swan last trip & might like to try something else. Thanks for any help.

You can do it either way- either make the reservation using the discount code, or switch an existing reservation to the discount code.
