I was looking at Universal's site and it mentioned that express passes are limited in number. We will be there on June 18th and 19th - is it necessary to buy in advance? Do they really ever sell out?

Thanks!

I wouldn't purchase in advance because they are date specific and non-refundable. If something comes up and you can't go that day, you're out of luck. You can purchase EPs at several stores in both parks so wait until you arrive to see what the lines are like.

never buy the epp prior to going to the park.

like Metro West stated, they are non refundable and park and date related.

if it rains while you are in the park, lines thin out quickly.

if you have completed most of the rides at the park and have a few left to do, just wait in the line for those, unless they have the single rider lines.

you never know how the crowds in the park will be until you are there.

go early and you will be able to do a lot of rides before any crowds would appear.
