Do I need FP+ to see Disney Jr or Frozen Shows at DHS?

Hi,

I currently have FP+ for these 2 shows, but I've read a few places that this may not be necessary ... any thoughts/advice?

Thanks!

I suppose this would depend on how crowded the park is. However, I don't think you need a FP+ for either of these.

First, the seating for FP+ at Disney Live is actually worse than the seating for standby. It's too close to the stage which is elevated so little children can't see the puppets very well. Second, I've never heard of anyone not being able to get into the show standby.

WRT to Frozen Singalong, IMHO it's not worth a FP. First, it's not really that great (although some people disagree). Second, it seems like everyone is able to get in. We had a FP+ for it and didn't get better seating than if we were standby.

It does depends on crowds. For Frozen, we used it b/c it was very busy and standing room only the two days we were there this week.

We had a FP+ for Frozen on 11/23 and didn't use it. I'm not sure I'd get a FP+ for a show again, seems like a waste of a FP+. Frozen was awesome - I started to cry!

I would keep the FP+ for Frozen but not for the Disney Jr. show. The Frozen singalong is a hot thing right now. I like that we got to sit in the nice comfy padded seats as opposed to the bleachers in the back. As for Disney Jr. We have used a FP+ for this in the past but it wasn't really necessary. The only advantage we got was not having to stand in line as long.

I agree. I had a FP+ for both in October. I felt the Frozen sing-a-long FP+ was worth it since the stand by line was very long and their seats were way in the back. The Disney Junior FP+ seating area is worse, too close to the stage for the smaller kids and all the confetti they drop never seemed to fall our way. I would stand an extra few minutes in line for that one.

There is no reserved seating for Frozen FP+ reservations. The only reserved seats are for the premium package holders (and special needs seating). A FP+ reservation for Frozen gets you a separate entrance from standby.

In all but busiest times no. Frozen you should get there 15-20 minutes prior anyway. For dis jr., I think the FP+ section is too close.

Thanks for all the info - is it possible to use the FP+ line for Dis Jr to avoid a wait but then opt to sit in the SB section once inside?

I know I'll be kicking myself if we arrive and there is a super long SB wait ...

One last question on this - my MIL can't sit on the floor, but I know there is very limited seating, would she be able to sit in a seat and the rest of us gather on the floor near her?

Thank you all again for the help!!
