Do I need a Park Hopper? Worth the price?

We're going in June:cool1: and don't have Park Hopper tickets. We have made ADRs and I was wondering if we are limited to the parks where we are eating? I'm assuming if we have dinner ressies at EPCOT we won't be able to spend the day at MK? We just received a PIN for 30% off and I'm wondering if it will be worth it to add Park Hoppers.

Thanks in advance!

The cost to add hopping (or WPF&M) is $55 ($58.58 including tax) per ticket. It does not matter if it is adult or child, two day or ten days, first day of use or last day of use, the price is the same. (For a Florida Resident it is $27.50 plus tax.)

Note that to add hopping to a one day ticket is $35 ($37.28 including tax)

So if you are not sure, don't order them. If you find you do need them, then upgrade your tickets at any ticket window or Guest Relations Office. It only takes a minute or so.

So, we'll be there for 11 days, 10 nights. If I understand you correctly to add hopping for the entire stay would be a total $644.38 per person?

No. It's $58.58 including tax per ticket. The most days that you can get on a ticket is 10 days. If you purchase one 10-day ticket per person, it still costs you $58.58 per person to add the hopping feature.

Ok, that seems more reasonable. I was getting freaked out!:scared1:

Personally we never get park hopper tickets. It is an extra expense that I don't feel we need. We are fine with one park per day. So we just plan to eat in whatever park we plan on being in that day.

Although, if you plan to spend the day at MK and then eat in EPCOT, you will need park hoppers. EPCOT doesn't allow you in for free just to eat. (I think maybe a long time ago they let you in for free for a couple hours to eat.)

IMO if it is your first trip you probably wouldn't need (or want) a park hopper. There is so much to see in every park you don't want to waste your time switching parks. If you are there several days or you have been to WDW before then definately get the park hopper passes. Personally, we always add them, it is worth every penny to us. We go to Epcot for a little while most days, we love to eat there. We just really like the flexiblity of being able to go wherever we want on any given day.

This won't be me and my kids first trip, but the first for my sister and we'll be staying for 11 days, 10 nights. My biggest concern is our ADRs. Most of them are at EPCOT and I don't want to be limited....

unless you plan to spend to every day of the ADRs that are at Epcot at Epcot then I would get them.

I do quick service but I still get PH - we have to head back to the resort to give son med in the afternoon so alot of times we will head to another park for night - for 55 per person, it is worth it for us

Gosh, for 11 days I wouldn't even think twice about getting park hopper tickets. What a great first trip for your sister!

When my kids were little, we didn't get hoppers. They'd just be too tired for a full day like that. Now that my kids are teens, I like the hopper. I can schedule dinner where I want, and they sometimes like to go out on their own to magic hours or just stroll around in the evening. I think they are worth it if you are going to be there for more than a few days.

I agree, gives you much more flexibility and spread out over 11 days, the cost is not that much more.

If you are staying 10 days for your first trip, I don't see why you would need a park hopper. That being said though, after 6 trips, I would never go to Disney without one.

DH and I always get the hoppers. That way, if a park is busier than we like, we just hop to another one. Also, we'll do AM EMH and then hop to another park once it starts getting crowded. If you're eating at Epcot a lot, you'll want those hoppers so you aren't trapped into staying at Epcot so many of your days. (I love Epcot, but wouldn't want to spend the majority of my trip going there!) Plus, we like the flexibility to pop into HS for Fantasmic after spending the day at a different park. It just works for us. I think you'll be glad to have the hoppers also. Enjoy your trip!

Yes. If you have non-hopper tickets you would need to only go to the park your reservation is in for that day. If you plan to eat at Epcot more often than you would like to spend the day at Epcot, you will need hopper tickets.

If you want to skip hopper tickets and not spend so many days at Epcot, you would need to change your dining reservations.

In short, you probably need hoppers if you are going to keep your dining reservations and want to go to other parks that day.

I would definitely get park-hoppers.

I would never want to be locked into staying at one park all day.

Most of the time we just get annual passes (and go 2-3 times a year) otherwise no way without park hoppers - it's worth the additional $$ for the freedom to go and come as we wish. pixiedust:

IMO they are well worth the price especially given your longer trip. We love to start the day in one park and hop to another around lunchtime. And as a PP mentioned - if one park is busier than we'd like we can always just hop to another one.

Have fun!

IMHO.... NO !!

Just plan yourself a bit and there should be no need... you waste to much time going back and fourth.... Maybe a difeerent situation if it was just yourself and a friend and you were only paying 58 dollars for yourself and not x 8,6 or 12....
