Do I HAVE to wear red, white & blue on the 4th?

I'm meeting friends for brunch. I have a nice BLACK top & want to wear with jeans. I don't have any "red, white & blue" stuff I can put together. Also, I hate dressing in such a cliche theme. I'm still patriotic, regardless.

Wear your nice black top with your jeans. If anyone asks,, just say, "How do you know I'm not wearing red, white and blue?" Smile coyly and walk away with pride. Just leave them wondering and enjoy the laugh.

ETA: Perhaps it would be funnier if I had read all the responses and noted that someone else has the same sense of humour I do. Have a happy July 4th!

I will usually wear blue and white, but only becuase I wear alot of blue anyway. I am not a fan of red at all and don't really wear it that much at all. Once in awhile I will wear red at Christmas, but I usually favor green during that time of year.

I like wearing "holiday" colors, but that is me. The kids have their Old Navy shirts all ready to go for the day.
