Do I have to pay for 6 days of the DDP? Please help!!

I am staying as a DVC members guest at SSR in May (so the DDP can be purchased separately) and I'm wondering how our DDP will work. I am getting our park hoppers at undercovertourist.com and the 4 day pass is automatically upgraded to a 6 day pass. Is the DDP based on the number of days you have in park tickets or the number of nights you stay at your resort? Please help if you can. Thanks!!

DDP is based on the number of nights you are staying at the resort. Have fun!

What is also great about the dining plan is that you can choose when you want to use your sit down meals vs your counter service meals. For example if you wanted to have 2 sit down meals one day and 2 counter service meals the next, it's all in the plan.
Makes it nice for those Epcot days.

Just to be absolutely clear, because you say you're going to be a guest of a DVC member...

I want to be sure you aren't joining someone staying at SSR and thinking you can purchase the DDP for just yourself, or for just your portion of the stay (if you're only there for part of their trip).

The DDP must be purchased for everyone in the villa, for every night of the reservation. The member needs to call Member Services and add DDP to the reservation prior to check-in, and you must pay for the full plan at check-in.

I have learned my lesson voicing my opinions on the DDP, I still have healing wounds from all the flaming!

Only rules for DDP is all nights of reservation for all members of the party for the entire length of stay. What is nice about it with DVC is that your ticket media is not tied to your reservation.
