Do I have to buy DDP for everyone in room

Long story short, for a family trip (adult children), I will end up with one single adult in a room, but my name has to be in the room also to get either the BB or AP discount. If I purchase DDP (not FREE dining but good 'ole cash...)do I have to purchase one for that "additional" person in the room who actually is me? (Obviously, I will purchase my own when I purchase for my room of my husband and I). Or can I just purchase it for the one adult who will actually be occupying the room. Hope that makes sense???

If you purchase a Disney Dining Plan, you must get the same plan for everyone listed on the room reservation.

Are you actually able to be listed on the reservation by name for both rooms? I thought you could only be listed on one or the other, as in you book the two rooms for your travel party and then list the names for the people in one room and the names for the people in the second room. I don’t think they will allow you to purchase double dining for yourself because you can’t be double listed as a room occupant.

I could be incorrect about that, but I know it has come up on the boards in the past.

Do you have free space in your 1st room to add a name...IE just you and hubby in studio, and your friend in the other studio. So 3 in total. You have your name so you can get discounts on room for both. But add a 3rd name to studio and just buy the meal plan for that studio and not the other.

Yes, that is weird and typically not how it works. You may want to call back and speak to another CM about this.

Yes weird and the wrong information was provided to you. You are able to book up to 3 rooms for any specific time period any you have an unlimited number of reservations for future stays. Your name only needs to be on 1 of the 3 rooms.

Are you the lead in all the rooms? Or are you just listed in each room. I would definitely call back and try to drop you, but if you are the lead in each room, that may be difficult to do.
