So i really need help in picking a bag to carry with me at WDW. This will be my first trip & I need some help. I have read through Many of those show me your bag posts and Wow it is overwhelming there is so many options out there that seem to work so well for many different people.

My husband is thinking of taking His Hydration Daypack .I am just not sure that will be big enough for everything we need especially when he has water in the bladder! He Seems to think this will be more than enough room. I worry it will be a pain in the butt to get everything in and out of that backpack (he is really tall and it would have to be taken off to access anything) & 2 it wont be enough room for everything. Daughter is 8(no stroller) and i know she will not want to carry anything.

We also will each have a Lanyard with Fabric Zipper pouch to carry Fastpasses, photopasses etc.

I don't plan to carry an enormous amount of stuff but I do want to have the essentials on hand ( autograph book, ponchos, sunscreen, that sort of stuff) Me and daughter do tend to get cold so i would like to carry her and I a lightweight hoodie or such and probably a change of clothes for her and there will be a couple of days she will be dressing up so it will be important to be able to have room for her outfit in case she gets to hot or tired of wearing it. Me and daughter also have the collapsible water bottles with caribiners on them.

My concern is I do suffer from shoulder pain (I also have never liked anything around my waist so I think a fanny pack would drive me insane I dont even like wearing belts!) I dont normally carry a purse unless I know we gonna be somewhere where i am not gonna have to actually carry it much (we have a buggy or just sitting) because after about 30 mins my right shoulder is killing me and hubby ends up being a champ and carrying it through the mall for me or whatnot! (I try carrying it on my left shoulder but it feels odd and seems in the way) I normally carry a wrislet (but my husbands pockets tend to be full with my keys cellphone etc) bc its just not big enough.

I am currently thinking of getting one of these 2 bags

Baggallini Zip & Go( i like that it has alot of pockets and seems like it would hold a decent amount of stuff But i wonder how comfortable this is going to be on my shoulder and across my neck (the strap looks like it would be really stiff)

VB mini hipster (i looked at original but it seemed a bit big) This seems Great for the essentials but not large enough to carry spare clothes or hoodie or a costume in)

Does anyone own one of these 2 bags and could make a suggestions or an opinion? All you wonderful Dis'ers know way more than me. Do you agree with my husband and think we will be ok with just the 1 bag?

We carry two bags with us.

The first is a small mini backpack, that we carry our ponchos (3 of us), an extra outfit for DD, autograph book, sunscreen (clipped with a caribebner to the outside), some snacks, band-aids, lip balm, hand wipes, hand sanitizer, and an other incidentals/accidentals (LOL!). I am always amazed at what we can pack inside of it. It has three zippered comparments. It doesn;t get heavy, however since DD is in a stroller (she's 4.5) we just leave it on the stroller while in the park. It has never been bothered.

For more valueable items (camera, money, park tickets, cell phone). I carry a VB mini-hipster that I keep on me all all times. I keep my phone and point-and-shoot camera in the back outside pocket, and keep money on the inside. I also usually carry my ID, a credit card, room key, and park ticket, gift cards, etc in the outside zippered flap pocket. As I said before, this stays on me at all times, so no worries about having valueable items stolen. I never even feel it.

My husband carries a small credit card type wallet, that he keeps his ticket, room key, ID, credit card, and a little cash in. Since it's small and slim, he keeps it in his front pocket in case someone ever tried to pickpocket.

This has been our MUST HAVE -- DOUBLE CHECK -- RECHECK things that we always take with us.

I'd be surprised if you could fit autograph book, ponchos, & sunscreen in the VB mini hipster. It has a very thin strap, too, which might dig in your shoulder. The regular sized hipster is probably what you need. I know you said it's a bit big, but it's so lightweight that if you put only autograph book, ponchos & sunscreen in it, it shouldn't bother you too much. Plus its strap is much wider (= more comfortable IMO), and it's adjustable. You still couldn't fit clothing in that, though.

I think if I were you I'd probably carry something very small for essentials and let your husband carry the clothing.

The VB mini hipster is rather small. What you might want to do is go to a store that sells VB purses so you can see the difference in the two. Around here most of the Hallmark stores sell VB purses.
I have the large hipster that I carry and my DH carries a backpack which he carries his camera in and there are two pockets on the sides for bottles of water.

My DH offered to carry a mesh backpack to hold our ponchos, camera, autograph books and pens, money/CC/park ticket clip, a ziplock bag with wet cloths to rinse in the sinks to cool off our faces if we get too hot and sweaty. I have a small Disney Dooney cross bag with a comb, scrunchies, small money purse, CC, small tube of sunblock, small tube of lip vaseline for heat-chapped burned lips. And that's it.

Am I missing something? We really don't want to carry heavy bags around, but as it is now, they'll work fine since they're not heavy.

My DH carried a backpack (from Target) for sunscreen, sweatshirts & snacks and small souvenirs. I carried a Kipling crossbody for the autograph book, money credit cards and room key.

I'm going to vote for a 3rd option.
I bought a cinch back from Thirty-One for my most recent Walt Disney World trip and I loved it!
It has two pockets which was really handy for me. I kept an extra shirt in the back zipper pocket. In the "cinch" part, I had plenty of room for everything I took to the park. It was really easy to get on and off. On rides, I just looped the straps around my legs (especially on Space Mountain!)

This bag didn't hurt my back at all. I even had a sweatshirt in the pocket.

Hope this helps! :goodvibes

I use the regular VB hipster and I can cram a ton of stuff in that thing! I stuff it with snacks, a bottle, cell phone, wallet, diapers, wipes and a sippy cup. We bring a diaper bag that stays in the stroller with extras of everything I put in my smaller bag and that works perfect for DH, me, and our two boys :)

one day while looking around target on my lunch break I picked up a Swiss Gear Vertical Boarding bag. It was similar to the baggalini zip and go and a steal at only $21.00 and seems as if it would be comfy for me to carry seem very well made and would have plenty of space for what I am needing it for. My husband also seemed to like it to surprisingly enough! After I got home I starting doing some research on the bag and It seems to have great reviews and even found several recommendations for it on here as a park bag. Can't wait to do a trial run on day and see how it works out or me and see how much stuff i can comfortably cram in it.

I have been reading up on everyones suggestions for a Park Bag. I started looking into getting the VB Hipster.

Now heres the cool part. My husband received a Thank You certificate from his company. He said "I don't really want anything, so go ahead and use it for something you want" Well I went to the website to redeem the cert and found the VB Hipster. I didn't get a choice of color/pattern but that was no problem. I got the bag the other day and I think it will be perfect.

Thanks for the suggestions.
