We have the Fantasy booked for May 2022(hopefully as this is the postponed cruise from 2020 and then 2021). We ended up with a FCC which is to convert to an on board credit. Lets say for my wife and I a total of $400. We also hold a reservation on one of the July sailings of the Wish that has been cancelled. We will probably opt for the 50% discount which will generate another FCC. Hopefully we will be able to get the reservation changed today but lets assume it ends up with an FCC of $300. Is the FCC ship specific, meaning if we did not book another cruise before May, that we would get a $400 OBC on the Fantasy and $300 OBC on the Wish, or is the Fantasy going to be a $700 OBC.

It’s complicated because now there are 2 FCCs- Covid FCC and Wish FCC with different expiration dates.

but both are person specific and not ship specific

you’ll want to ‘dock’ any FCC you DONT want in OBC a week + before the first cruise- typically it’s by booking a ‘placeholder’ cruise but if it’s less than a deposit I’d call DCL for options.

I almost lost $2000 because they were going to place my unused FCC balance on my Fantasy cruise last month. And our adventures were canceled on CC because of wind, and the day before an entire port was canceled. If I would’ve had that much credit I would’ve lost that FFC that I had applied to my onboard account. Thankfully I applied it to a future cruise to my next cruise and only left the $200 OBC for booking on my last cruise.

Was your Wish sailing booked with FCC from a previously cancelled sailing or was it booked with some other payment method? My understanding is that Wish sailings are refunded back to their method of payment. For us, that was, in fact, FCC from a cancelled Covid sailing, so it went back into our "FCC bucket" as my TA has been calling it, which we then applied to a Fantasy sailing we already had booked but if you booked with a credit card or gift cards or something, I believe it should return back to those payment types.

I am fairly certain it was with our placeholder from a Dream sailing. We had made payments and were getting ready to pay the last $600 when the sailing was delayed. We plan on booking our 2023 cruise after this initial flood of Wish reservations get resolved.
