Do DVC owners love the week of Thanksgiving?

As a renter, I know it's hard to rent points for the first 2 weeks of December since DVC owners love to go when the points are low.

So, I'm wondering about the week of Thanksgiving...I mean the Sunday before T'day until Friday after the holiday. Is this a really big week for DVC'ers? Do I have a chance to rent points for this week (I'm talking about 2007--not this year!! )?

Thanks for the honesty. Oh. We're not picky about DVC resorts. And we're realistic in knowing that we wouldn't get BWV standard view!!

We've been before and going again this year. Some go quickly - like VWL. Points are a lot higher during this time. So it's gonna cost you a lot more than early Dec. Members usually need to call at the 11 month time, and right at 7 months to get what's left.

If you want the entire week, get with a member with home resort points where you want to stay and do it at 11 months to make sure you aren't shut out. That will be mid to late Dec.

We visited WDW as BCV renters last year, and loved it so much, we bought. Now we are going to BCV again this Thanksgiving , so I guess that means we love it during that time. The crowds are not bad, the weather is good, the decorations are coming up, etc.

I rented 11 months out prior to last Thanksgiving to guarantee the week. I was originally booking for 13 people, which was a challenge, but it ended up just being the four of us (everyone else stayed offsite). This year, we couldn't book our villa until our resale closed, so we are waitlisting one night at BCV. Crossing my fingers that it comes through!

We LOVE TDay week too but usually go Tuesday until Tuesday. Better for us as far as school and crowds after TDay go WAAAAAYYY down!

We usually arrive the weekend before T'giving and stay to the Sun after. The crowd level increases as the week goes on, peaking the Wed beforeT'giving. We try to do most of our "park days" before T'giving and use the last week end to chill at the resort(OKW usually). So the resort is usually at near capacity but not crazy.
