Do Disney Restaurants ask for ID?

My DD and SIL are in their late 20's, they both look young, and they get carded every time.

Every time I am holding a child, they do not card me. Same happens for me at grocery stores too. When i was 20, i would tuck my collared shirt in and never get carded at convenient stores. So, if you can wear a tucked in collared shirt and find a child to hold, no ID required.

One time i lost my drivers license and brought a photocopy of my passport and was never carded the entire trip. In my early 30's.

My DD and SIL (early 30's and 3 kids) always get carded. We are all AP and when we use the discount we have to show ID so we just always carry an ID. 8 years ago we were at the bar at GF and my DD forgot her ID and couldn't drink. My husband and I tried to talk the bartender into it and it was a no go.

I got carded at la cava after waiting in like for twenty minutes. Thankfully the girls behind me let me go get it from my dh who was entertaining my son. I won't make that mistake again. Ps I'm 30 and don't look young at all.

You don't always get carded but some places are on it! The margarita cart in Mexico seems to card every time.

I was carded a few years ago at the Wave, having a glass of wine for dinner. I was 48. I really though she was kidding but nope.

Hey, enjoy it. They are few and far between above 40!

Your MB won't be sufficient for age verification when buying drinks. I always carry ID while at Disney and would suggest everyone else do the same.

How do you judge age? At what magical point are you obviously over 21? Many places/states have a strict we card everyone policy. No muss, no fuss.

Exactly. I am......well, let's just say that I'm well over 55. And in the last 2-3 years I have been carded many times, including at WDW. More and more places have the CARD EVERYONE policy and in some places it's not just policy, it's the law. The server is no longer in a position where they have to guess whether to ask for ID or not. 22 or 82, be prepared to be carded.

As much as the magic bands are great that I don't have to carry my debit/credit card anymore I still carry an ID with my age on it.

I swear some places at Disney will card Izma's grandmother. No I'm not kidding. I have a kid old enough to drink and some places still card me. Last trip one place wanted 2 form of ID!

I'mm 33 but I get carded. My co-workers think I look like someone's child who got lost in the office. :sad2: So I would ask, for a Canadian, would you bring your passport around? or would a photocopy suffice? I know they don't accept any other IDs, including driver's license.

Please folks carry your ID. Trust me, in the event of an emergency you do not want to be Jane/John Doe at the local hospital (No Orlando Regional cannot read Magic Bands!)

Don't make it hard on your first responders (and no they won't just assume it's "Becky Smith" because that's the name on the credit card)

It depends on where in Orlando you will be. At Disney a photocopy of passport plus a DL works. If you don't have the DL then the photocopy of passport isn't enough and you will need to carry your actual passport. Outside of Disney you need your actual passport.

My wife and I were carded for the first time at Disney in 10 years at the Maya Grill on April 30th! We're in our 30s and when we let her know she was the first to ever ID us, she said that Disney has been running sting operations the past couple weeks.

Needless to say, we were proud to still get IDed! :)

I got carded at Boardwalk at ESPN once and did not have ID so joke was on me. Bring ID...or you may not get a drink. Have fun and be safe :)
