do childrens AP's give the same bennies/discounts as adult Ap's?

We (DH, DS 9, and myself) all have AP's. DS has the opertunity to visit WDW this summer with my parents, but without us.

I plan on purchasing park hoppers for my parents, but can i book the room with an AP discount code (assuming ones come out) and have them use his AP at check in to qualify for that discount?

OR do those types of AP Codes only apply to adult AP's?

Book the room in the name of the AP holder.

Both the AP holder and the person making payment then check in at arrival.
