Do any title companies code as "travel" for credit card rewards?

I'm particularly interested to know whether Mason Title Co. codes as travel or as real estate when it charges the credit card for deposit or closing fees, in order to maximize credit card rewards. Does anyone know?

I don't know the answer to your question, but what resort are you buying now?

Ha ha ha... while I want a good small PVB contract (really want 100 points or less, and while I see a 150 point out there, that's just too much cash up front for us right now despite my DH wanting to own PVB), I am eying a small add-on to my existing CCV contracts and/or maybe some more SAP points with SSR. We love the idea of booking CCV cabins every now and again, and SAP with low dues might be the better path.

This is how it is listed through Chase.

You are at it again! So are we! We bid on a small contract the other day and it was just snapped up and it was loaded...were you the one that hit the big lottery LOL?

Maybe? I don't think so, or at least none of the ones I am looking to pull the trigger on were fully loaded. What contract was this and where???
(I did see a loaded 50 point Boardwalk come through, and was going to make an offer on it, but someone grabbed it first. Which is good, honestly, as I own RIV and really shouldn't continue to add 2042 resorts ;-) )

It wasn't me...DH wasn't thrilled with the price of the BWV but I would have gone for it LOL! The other was a 50 point OKW Oct with 2019, 2020 and 2021 for $115. I can't mention the broker. I wasn't paying attention early in the morning and by the time I saw it, DH saved about 6K ha, ha!

DVC will make more!!

Oh man, if that was also Extended (2057 end date), I would have been tempted! But, no, that wasn't me.

Thank you, both! Ah, well, too much to hope for. ;-) Now I just need to decide x1.5 Ultimate Reward Points, x2 AMEX Points, or only x1 JetBlue points but goes towards the spend needed on that card. ;-)
(Yes, I am a CC Points Junkie. ;-) )
Oh, me too! You go girl! :teacher:

SWA points for me, but I play the game with whatever card is the best deal. DH is trained to ask which card to use when he makes a purchase LOL!

We do the same thing 😊. I love my SWA card I get companion pass every year because we have the business card and put all our business purchases on it. The cc rewards definitely add up.

I have actually put labels on all of my DH's cards so he knows which ones to use when, especially as he can NEVER keep straight the rotating quarterly categories on the Chase Freedom card. ;-)

I'm normally a big fan of piling as much as possible into earning Chase Ultimate Rewards, especially as I can use UR points to book JetBlue on the Chase portal for free, but I would then still earn JetBlue points. And because I'm a Mosaic member, I can easily cancel and change those flights without fees. (I admit, I like JetBlue more than Southwest, but that SWA Companion Pass is pretty sweet). My concern this year is that I am unlikely to travel enough to re-earn my Mosaic status this year, but I should be able to do the reduced JetBlue CC spend + points from flights in the latter half of 2021 (as I'm holding out hope that our travel plans in the summer, Thanksgiving, and Christmas season can happen!).

If you spend over $50,000.00 on your JetBlue card you qualify for Mosaic as well.

That's a lot of different options!

I think www.dvcresalemarket.com has had PVB as one of the more economical resorts on their blog before, given the length of the contract. I'm not sure where they fall on the list now with the updated dues amounts.

Side question: where is everybody finding the DVC resort images to put in their signatures?

For 2021, they are also allowing $30,000 + earning 4000 base JetBlue points, so that’s my hope! Our planned travel should allow me to hit the 4,000 miles. My job used to have me travel 2 weeks out of 4, and I could put all my travel expenses on my personal cards and get reimbursed, so it was so easy to hit thresholds before. Obviously that’s not happening now!

They rank SSR #1 and PVB #2 in their Fall 2020 rankings (which came out after 2022 dues were announced). But that’s based on an assumption of paying $107/point for SSR and $152/point for PVB.

Nice. So maybe get PVB since your DH wants it, and they could double as SAP?

I don't know how you feel about SSR. It's nice, but I feel no sense of connection to it. I like that you can walk to Disney Springs, but I dislike how sprawling the campus is. Also, the home resort advantage isn't much of an actual advantage there.
