Do any other AP holders do this?

My wife and I go down to have a meal and walk around for a few hours often! This usually happens because we intend to get up early so we can make it to rope drop, but then sleep in! By the time we get there we just decide to make it more of an eat, walk, people watch and enjoy the atmosphere type of "trip". (we live an hour and a half from DLR) Of course we usually ride one or two rides while there!

My dd and I do this all the time!

In fact we are doing this today.

I get off from work at one today. I am going to pick her up and we will head down to DL for the afternoon/early evening. We have each picked a ride as our "must do" and then we will grab some dinner. Anything else we do will be "gravy" for us.

This is what I love about having an AP....there is no pressure at all. We go several times each month. Now that its summer we are going weekly, sometimes twice a week.

I just wanted to say I am sooo jealous that you guys are able to do this so easily.

I have an annual pass and if i lived closer i would probably be there weekly.

Go after your appt's so if you loose track of time its ok.

I live about 30-40 minute drive from DLR and I sometimes I just go to grab a bite to eat, watch a parade and/or the fireworks. For me it always depends on the lines and crowd. Tomorow I'm off from work and I plan on going to the park when it opens and I'll probably be home around 2 or 3 unless the crowds are low and I'll stay longer. I say go for it!

My thought is to go from about 5:30-8. rush hour should be over by then and it'll be a quick drive on the 5 and 55 to get home.

Oh how I wish I lived closer to DL. We go anytime we get a chance. I'd go after my appt so I don't have to worry about leaving, LOL.

We do this on occasion when we're in So Cal (usually downtown LA) for other stuff like concerts, sports, etc. Nice way to kill some time, only downside is that it can be a bit of a hike from downtown LA obviously, so depends on time of day and traffic.
