Do any of you use the character meal vouchers from Costco Travel

to pay for other meals? I noticed last time that each voucher is worth $40+ dollars. We are AP holders for the first time and I am wondering if I should use those vouchers elsewhere and then pay for Goofy's Kitchen with our AP discount. Any thoughts/ideas on how to use them? TIA!

That's how we have done it in the past. It works a lot better financially.

That's what we did. No one in our group was interested in character meals so we used them else where.

We have used them at the blue bayou, then we can have a little more expensive dinner and it only ends up costing about 20 bucks over our vouchers, or you can do a character meal, or any sit down spot in the parks. Just remember you don't get change back if you don't use all the voucher is worth. Lots of times 1 adult voucher ($49) will buy lunch or dinner for DH and I at one of the other places around the park.

We used ours at wine country truttoria (sp?) and carnation cafe.

Thanks for the responses! This is the first time we booked through Costco and I think the vouchers are a great deal. We plan to use them for dinner at Blue Bayou, where I don't think we'll have any trouble using up the full amount per person! For lunch at Storyteller's I will use my Disney Chase Visa for the 10% off. The meal vouchers alone more than pay for my annual Costco membership!
