Do any of you ladies wear full-length formals

I wore one, though I never had before, and loved every minute of it! I felt elegant, and I figure that's the whole point of formal night :D Despite having read lots of posts from people who are very aware of what others are wearing (and thus might be aware of whether they were dressed in a similar manner or not), I was completely oblivious; I would be very hard put to tell you whether there was another long dress to be seen on board or not. However, nothing made me feel out of place in the slightest, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I bought mine for about $35 on eBay.

Does the three day Wonder have a formal night? Do people get dressed up on that cruise? Since we're doing WDW first, this could be tricky. How do you know if and what night?:bounce:

I will certainly be wearing a full length gown! The problem is, I keep seeing them and buying more!! I will also be wearing 1 for our 15th anniversary at Palo! Ross has some nice ones, and the are very inexpensive ($35.00)!!

I also wore full length. We were on the NYE Magic cruise. Since it was my first cruise I don't know if it was the norm or not but there were a LOT of gowns and tuxedos for NYE. It ALMOST made me want to do a NYE formal party near home that others always try to talk me into...:)

Cruises are wonderful opportunities to do what we don't do everyday - to eat escargot, call room service and wear those long beautiful gowns. We vacation because it is the chance for us to be together as a family and to reward ourselves for a year of hard work. If you are going on the vacation of your dreams, then live out your dreams, whatever they may be. Go for what you want and deserve. Do it all the way, instead of living with "I wish I could or I wish I had." No one on their death bed ever said, "Gee, I wish I'd spent more time at the office." Life is to be enjoyed. Go for it.

I wore a full length formal gown on "formal night" and to Palo. It was fun dressing up.

My goal is to get my butt in shape (literally) so I can buy a dress that will knock my DH socks off... (literally ;) )

I know for sure that I'll have at least one floor-length gown, most likely I'll have two and then wear simpler cocktail type dresses the other nights. :)

I wore a formal I had bought for a dressy dinner dance at work. Clearance at JC Penneys after New Years. I'm wearing a different one that I had for a similar function on this cruise, also clearance. I don't think I paid more than $50 for any formal that I own. Now bridesmaids dresses are a different story :(

I am wearing a light purple full length gown for my cruise. The dress makes me feel so much like a princessI don't care hant anyone says. I am wearing what I am wearing. ::MinnieMo :Pinkbounc ::MickeyMo

I always wear a full length formal, as does my DD-12. My DH wears a tux but we love getting dressed up just a couple of times and having our family photo done. We have been cruising with DCL since my DD was 6 and I love going back and looking at how much she has changed. True memories I will always cherish.
