do any of you get really mad at your parents???

I do. All the time. Right now actually I should be with my friends at a carnival (most of whom I haven't seen all summer), but my parents are just not taking me. I have like a billion people that could take me instead, but then my parents say that they don't like that area of town. Okay, so I know a parent that is staying. Now my parents have a little talk and neglect to tell me anything which means of course I have to come back again and ask so now I look like a little idiot. They do this to me all the time, though, and I am so sick of it. After I asked them if they had decided my mom says, "I just don't think it's going to work out." ARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!! People have been e-mailing me, calling me, offering me rides, and my mom just doesn't think it's going to work out?!?! I have great friends here, I bet some of them think that I just don't wanna hang out with them anymore. Do you know where I've gone with my briends this summer? To 2 movies. And most of them weren't even there!!! So tonight, anyways, they are all having fun at a carnival, then they will be watching the fireworks. Plus I only have like 10 minutes left of computer time so what am I supposed to do for the reast of the night??? It's a Sunday, nothing good is on TV tonight, my brother and sister are all occupied, and not like I can talk on the phone cuz everyone (and I'm not just saying it, all my friends are there) is at the carnival!!! o0oh well I just needed to vent and now I kinda think I'm babling. But does anybody else here fight with their parents????

I never fight with my parents!! seriously..maybe like once a year...I was mad at my dad the other day but was over it in like 30 minutes
they always let me do stuff,never have to get on me for anything(Im a perfectionist...I go around cleaning the house b/c i hate things messy)
and they dont shelter me..they let me be..I guess a young adult.

Now that I'm in High School, I fight w/ my parents more than I did in middle school! And now ever since I had surgery last February, they've been real protective. But once I get my license, everything will be better! lol! I hope!

Every once in a while a day goes by where everything is perfect between me and my parents. Other than that we argue all the time, whether it be over little stuff (like dinner) or bigger stuff (like me getting my ear pierced at the top). < I haven't asked them if I can do this yet, I'm waiting til I get done with summer school.>

I think everyone has these stupid arguments with their parents (except WDWFanatic of course ).
All you can do is remember that you're not alone, and that they're doing what they think's best for you.
And my parents are even more unreasonable that yours anyway

I never fight with my parents.

Usually when I start to lose my temper, I just look at things from their perspective.

But then again, I am closer to my parents than most teens.

Also being a middle child may have something to do with it.

Yea, um most of the time it seems like my parents just...don't get it. Lately, I let them be however they want to be, but the last few years it was like every little thing tossed up a fight, or a...conflict of interest? I don't know anymore, now I'm just trying not to let them get under my skin. Y'know? I'm one of those people who doesn't put things in the same place twice, and my dad is a complete neatnik. It's pathetic. Plus, there's the requisite small stuff that whoever wrote that book told people not to sweat...like me driving "too fast" (according to <i>les parents</i>, the universal speed limit is 35... ). Lately they've been getting much better about avoiding being general anal apertures some of the time...but i totally think that they just are that way because i'm an only kid. And because my mom's getting 'separation anxiety' over me going to college...
