EIGHT? In a single room or suite? We stayed at WL about 8 years ago and had a suite, but at the time we were only a family of 6! I'd love to avoid being split into 2 separate rooms. Do any of the resorts have a place big enough for my family to room together as the big, happy family that we are?

The only thing that I can suggest is to look into the 2 or 3 bedroom villas at the Vacation Club resorts. There you will have 2-3 bedrooms, a full kitchen, washer/dryer in the villa, 2-3 bathrooms(one with a whirlpool tub) and plenty of room for your family. We own at DVC and love the resorts!! You also get all of the benefits of the resorts(ie. extra magic hours, free transportation, on-site magic). You can also save some money by making some of your meals in your villa instead of buying them all, and snacks are easier too.

Have fun and enjoy WDW!!

(In case you are not familiar with the DVC resorts they are at Boardwalk, Beach Club, Old Key West, Wilderness Lodge(our favorite), and Saratoga Springs.)

The Beach Club Villas and Wildreness Lodge Villas sleep 8 in the 2 bedroom villas.

I agree a DVC unit is the way to go. We've had four adults, and older teen, and three kids in one before, and didn't feel squished. Of course the teen wasn't too keen on having his much younger cousins bounce on him to wake him up while he slept on the sofabed every morning LOL!

But seriously, two bedrooms, two baths, a fully equipped kitchen living room with DVD or VCR, and did I mention the washer/dryer? Sounds perfect for you.
