If you are on the DDP, can you pay the difference to get a milkshake in place of the regular drink that comes with it for those restaurants that have milkshakes? Examples: Whispering Canyon Cafe, 50's primetime, Sci-Fi. Anywhere else have milkshakes? Thanks in advance!

1) You can always buy additional menu items when on DDP.
2) There is no discount to exchange regular items for other choices.

I know a few places that let you have alternative drinks to the standard fizzy drinks. you dont have to pay extra :thumbsup2

eg WCC & Sci Fi-you can have the milkshakes. Other places you can have the fruit smoothies. :)

Sure someone will be able to name a few other places for you.x

Le Cellier will let you too.

My experience at Whispering Canyon, Sci Fi and Le Cellier was that you could have the milkshake instead of soda, it is just not refillable.

the last i knew... (this could change at any time of course)

you can get milkshakes in place of a drink at sci-fi, whispering canyon, 50's primetime, and I'm not sure about the plaza.

actually at sci fi we both got milkshakes and cherry cokes and weren't charged. i can't say if this is the norm--or if we got pixie dust??

smoothies/fruit n/a daquairi like drinks at le cellier and narcoossee's

I just remembered 50's prime time.

The WCC milkshake is bottomless isnt it?
Although Im not sure I could drink a full one let alone a refill :goodvibes

I have heard some people say that when you order a milkshake instead of the fizzy drinks youre still allowed a free fizzy drink as they milkshakes dont have refills.

I think you are correct about WCC and that I only had one because I was so full :upsidedow

yes Ive heard a few say you can still get a free refill drink, due to the shakes not being refills. :thumbsup2

Yeah, I got Lilikoi Juice at Kona and wasn't charged for my soda... I guess it's because it's not refillable. It was nice though! :lovestruc

In addition to the restaurants already mentioned, we were allowed to get smoothies at the Wave. There was 1 caveat there. Only the adults could get it. My 3 year old daughter wanted the smoothie, and I was just ordering a Diet Coke, so the waiter put the smoothie in for me and a child Diet Coke, but brought it in an adult glass.

That is correct, the milkshakes at WCC are bottomless and are included as a beverage on the DDP. I should also add, they are not only bottomless, but they are very good as well. :goodvibes

It has been a while, but I know for SURE that I had a milkshake at The Wave and a mango lassi at Sanaa as a beverage with DDP. This was in November 2009.

We've gotten milkshakes or smoothies at Kona, WCC, the Wave, Le Cellier, Coral Reef, Sci Fi, and 50's Prime Time. The only place they've been refillable is WCC. We've gotten virgin mixed drinks at Artist Point, California Grill, Kona, Flying Fish, Yachtsman, Narcoosee, Mama Melrose, and Sanaa.
