Do any of the stores on the Wonder have books for sale? I plan on doing a little relaxing lite reading and I will have some books with me, but just in case I run out of reading material, do they sell soft covered fiction in any of the stores? Thanks!

Yes, the store on the right as you walk toward the Walt Disney theater, has a small section of current releases aswell as magazines.

Yes they do, a small selection, and often they sell this near the pools as well as some tabloid magazines..

:goodvibes

Just my 2 cents: Don't fill your suitcases full of reading materials. I am an avid reader. I'll read at any time but always read before bed. On our Wonder cruise, I never opened a book. We were so busy and there was so much I wanted to do. Plus, I was so tired at night, I couldn't keep my eyes open!

Perhaps since you don't have my two young kids with you, you'll actually get some reading time though.

We'll just have our DS12 with us, and he's planning on spending the time in the pool and in the lab. You probably are right though, I will be too busy and too tired to read. I just get nervous about not having anything to read. It's like a phobia with me. I definitely need books for the plane, and for before bed. I guess I'm just dreaming about sitting in a lounge chair relaxing and reading a book, but I think that it probably won't happen.

You'll have time to read. I, too always look forward to relaxing on a lounger on deck 4 with my book and sometimes just falling asleep. My 2 DDs are always busy with their club/lab activities that in three cruises, I've managed to read part of a book (on the 4-day) or a whole book (on the 7-day).

The selection on the ship store is very limited to recent paperbacks, and some magazines...it's better to bring your own....but probably only one.

We're back from our cruise, and I have to say that I only opened my book for 5 to 10 minutes at a time at bedtime during the cruise. We were too busy and tired to think about reading. I brought two books with me and finished one of them, and got halfway through the second. I did most of my reading on the plane and at Disney at night.

we actually got through quite a few books -- we packed them and brought them onboard, but they aren't going home -- we donated them to the "crew library" :)

I remember when we were on the Wonder in March '04, that there was a good selection of books that you could borrow from the Cove Cafe. I read 2 or 3 books on our week long cruise, and wrote down the titles of several I was interested in but didn't have the time to read.

If you are an avid reader, then it is worth it to bring your own reading materials onboard. The first cruise, I brought four books; the last cruise I brought five and read them all. :sunny:

I am bound and determined to have time to read!!! I'm a single mom to DS (6 then) and I hope and pray that he likes the club... There is nothing that is more relaxing to me... than to lounge by the pool, take in some sun, read a good book, wake myself up snoring :rotfl2:

Also, I want DS (6) to take naps so he can enjoy the later shows, etc... and I paid extra for a verandah to be able to sip a drink :drinking1 and read my book while keeping an eye on him in the room.

Is it time yet???? :rotfl:
