We have a reservation at PO Riverside beginning OCT 25. Originally our reservation was CBR but when AP rates came out Riverside was the only moderate available.

We live in Louisiana and have stayed at FQ twice so we would really prefer either CS or CBR.

I have called numerous times trying to change but so far I haven't had ant luck.

I know CS is a convention resort so I had hopes some rooms would be released.

Has anyone had any luck in the past with rooms opening up at AP rates?

If not, where at Riverside should I request? We like to be near the food court but not in preferred rooms. Mansions sound like nicer rooms, are they?

Thanks for any help.

Hi there neighbor. I live in West Monroe. Where do you live?

I wouldn't give up on a room opening up. I've tried to get a room at the CBR before and was told it was all booked up. I asked the castmember if they could ask their supervisor if there were any more rooms available. (a tip I read on these boards). She asked me "if I can get you a room, will you absolutely book it right now?" I told her that I positively would. She put me on hold and and I held for about 5 minutes. When she came back, she had a room for me. She said she had taken one of the rooms held for travel agents. Her supervisor gave her the okay to give me the room.

You might want to try this too. It might work. If it doesn't, you haven't lost anything.

I've had some problems this year getting the AP rate for later in the year. So, I'm not sure anything will open up but keep trying. If you do have to stay there, the mansions are prettier in my opinion. The courtyards were prettier too. We preferred it over the bayou section. Either way you go, you're looking at a bit of a walk to the food court but it's a nice walk.

CSR does because it is a conventio resort. It will release rooms back to the general public that are not used by convention guests once their "book by" date passes.

Thanks for your help. I'm not going to give up yet. We still have a month before our trip.

mickeystoontown, we live right down the road in Rayville.

I knew there had to be more of "us" around this area. :rotfl:
