Do any of the DCL European cruises touch Asia?

I am trying to get another continent in besides Europe, N America, and S America on a DCL cruise.

A number of years ago DCL did have an itinerary that included Turkey, but that itinerary was altered so I don't the Magic ever made it to Asia. That's as close as DCL has gotten.

Much of Russia is in Asia, so the Northern Europe Baltic capitals sailing goes to St Petersburg in Russia, which should give you credit by association.

In 2012 the Magic had a 12 nt cruise to Greece and Kusadasi, Turkey. They planned it again for the following year, but changed it. So happy to have been on it! Ephesus was amazing! 😃 We also checked Africa off our list on our first Disney cruise in 2010 when the Magic stopped in Tunis, Tunisia. The Bardo museum was incredible. Our seven yr old son got to make a mosaic that still hangs on our wall. Sadly, there was a terrorist attack at the museum a few months later. We have taken our kids to five continents thanks to DCL!!!

DCL will need a 7th ship before committing anything to Asia. And, honestly, I still wouldn't hold my breath.

That said, where in Asia do you want to go cruising? We had a wonderful time with Celebrity in Southeast Asia. We would have done Japan last year - but are cautiously optimistic about our Indonesia/Australia/NZ B2B cruise next December (if it sails). The holiday cruises on these itineraries are primarily North American and European families (and a mix of adults from everywhere), and it's a great way to sample other cruise lines.

I was on the 2011 11 night version of this! Unfortunately, that was the year of the Arab Spring, so our Tunis stop got moved to Palermo. I still can't believe the price we paid for this when comparing to 7 night European itineraries for 2022!

The cruises between Dover and Barcelona pass through the Strait of Gibraltar, allowing a view of Africa although the cruise does not stop there.

Yep,I hear ya! We got a crazy price of $999 for my husband and myself and the kids were only a few hundred dollars. That cruise started our addiction, so it has ended up being much more expensive over time! 😃 Our first Alaska cruise was $4200 for all four of us. The 12 nt Med cruise was $10,800 for all four of us. It appears to be about that much for next year for just two people!😳

$999! 🤯

I hope we see the return of some of these ports in the future. Although I’m not sure I could stomach whatever the prices would be on the longer sailings they’d probably require...

St. Petersburg is still in Europe (I've been there and checked ::yes:: )

But on another cruise line that shall rename nameless (sounds like its from a Northern Country). Ship and crew were NOT great but our ports were!!! Did stop in Turkey - and I agree that Ephesus is amazing! If you go, check out the Terrace Houses (extra admission charge). That cruise also overnighted in Alexandria in Egypt. We were there shortly before the revolution (thankfully). So that trip got us to Asia and Africa.

We have been on a Panama Canal cruise that stopped in Cartagena. So that leaves us with Australia and Antarctica to visit. Maybe someday DCL will visit down under, but I'm sure we will have to look elsewhere to visit Antarctica.
