Do all your Disney Wedding guests have to stay in a Disney Resort Hotel?

I've been curious about that... If I ever did have a wedding at Disneyworld, I read you have to at least have a 4 night stay at a Disneyworld Resort Hotel? And that has to be for all your guests? My dad is not really the Disney type person. He never really enjoyed being at Disney parks. (I know, how can that be true? Heh) He has family in Florida though, so he could visit them and they drive to Disneyworld for one day to be at my wedding. Is this ok? I hope everyone doesn't mind me asking these questions. I haven't called Disney Wedding planners because I don't know if we can even afford a Disney wedding, and if we could, it's going to be at least 2 years from now or longer. We're just not sure if we can afford it. But it's my dream wedding. Thanks to anyone who can help answer my questions!

It depends on what type of wedding you have. If it is an Escape, than only you need to stay 4 nights, and your guests can stay wherever they wish.

If it is a wishes, I think it is something like a 20 night minimum between all your guests, which shouldn't be too hard to get.

You don't have to have them stay on property, but it's helpful. If you're having an in-park morning wedding. Since you have to provide the transportation.

Not all of my guests are staying on property - a good chunk of them are staying in my dad's Vistana timeshares. What they do is come to your resort - tell the security guard that they're there for your wedding and they can park there. Your transportation can pick them up from there!

We're figuring 50 guests at the max, and we have to guarantee 25 room nights. We're up to about 15 between 3 guests - it's honestly not hard. And if you fall short, do what we all do. Come on the board and ask for room reservation numbers!
