I should know this, but can't remember for some reason: do all of the DVC rooms Beach Club have a full balcony (1bd rooms as well as studios)? I know that the hotel part has some with no real balcony but I can't recall if that is true for DVC as well. I'm thinking of putting in my requests for an upcoming trip and forget if I have to request a full balcony or not. thank you!

I thought some had the small Juliette type balcony?
thats what I want to avoid if so.. i know the hotel has these but I thought that the villas had at least the tiny ones that fit a couple chairs?

Yes, but some are tiny and just fit 2 chairs.
ok, maybe i"ll just request "large balcony" and see what happens- that covers both the small balcony and juliette if there are any

You might get a one bedroom with only a balcony off the living room and none off the bedroom. None of the BCV balconies are Juliet balconies where you can only stand (like some at BC). They all have at least two chairs and a small side table. But there are some villas that have a large pie shaped wedge balcony. We had one on the fourth floor once.

No Juliette balconies at BCV only at the hotel, although when sitting on the small ones where you have to ask the other person to move into the room so you can get out aren't that much of an improvement either IMO.

2nd floor has the type of balcony I think you are looking for. Something that spans the width of the villa.

ok yes, maybe I should ask for 2nd floor. i usually request pool view, but honestly, the last two times i was there, there was a very loud group of kids by the pool several nights yelling (from about 8pm to after 10pm) and it made it not relaxing at all to sit out on the balcony at night. My husband and I enjoy sitting out on the balcony for an evening drink after we put the kids to bed, so I am thinking of asking for woods view this time I suppose. there really isn't anything else to ask for, right? the one downfall of my beloved BCV is the lack of views...:(

I will cross my fingers you luck out like we did - we were on the top floor, corner studio room. The balcony was so large I could push both twins' cribs out there and still have plenty of room to move around! (They were 1.5 at the time and would climb anything in their way. Keeping them in the cribs made balcony time much more relaxing for me because they couldn't quite get out of them yet!)
