Do all resort pts go to $89 on 8/3?

The truth is that nobody knows yet. If SSR has an end date of 2054 then they very well might sell those points for $5 more than points at other DVC resorts. So far there hasn't been a lot of concrete information out. Hopefully we'll hear something more in the next week.

good point! I had forgot about the different end date for SSR.

With that they could charge more than the other resorts.

But soon (if you believe thier "predictions" of selling out BCV soon) it will be a moot point as they will only have SSR for sale.

From what someone just posted on the thread "Any BWV pts left?", it seems as though a DVC guide told her ALL pts were going up to $89 on 8/4!!

it does seems a bit strange, because from what i've read... those who have been Members for a while have reported that they always used to get advanced notice of a price increase.

in this case, there is no advanced notice. only unofficial "leaking" of info.

No, BCV and BWV points will stay at $84 per point until they sell out. They expect BCV to sell out in a month and BWV to sell out within two months. The new incentives coming out will only apply to SSR and they will make that deal much more attractive.

SSR won't open until May, but owners will be able to start booking vacations Dec 2. Other DVCers will be able to start booking Feb 1.

I can't wait to see pictures. I wasn't sure at first, especially about the idea of an "upscale foodcourt," but it sounds nicer now and I the pool will be really nice.

A lot more info will come out next week, probably on Monday. Call you guides then! (but don't tell them I told you too!!

This is not what I was told yesterday when I did my add on. I was told ALL resorts are going up on Aug 3. Maybe I received wrong information - or maybe my guide misunderstood me.

The way I understood it was that the new ending date is a perk for SSR like Stormalong Bay is for BCV and standard view points are for BWV. This sentence is just my own speculation.

But I was in fact told that all resorts are going up on Aug 3.

Talked to my guide about this earlier in the week. IF there are points left at other resorts when SSR goes on sale, there will be 2 price points. But they don't expect there to be points left.

I called hoping to convince them to give me MB on 75 points for BCV. No doing, so if I had to pay the full $84, I figure I'd just as well wait for SSR. Location doesn't matter to us -- we own OKW now and love it -- and the spa is a big draw for me.

But you're forgetting about the points they will continue to get back and re-sell from ROFR.
