Do all the bayou rooms have trundles?

Do you have to pay extra for a room with one if they don't all have them?

And finally, what are the chances of getting one if you only have 2 adults and one child in the room, even if you ask for it?

Thanks in advance
Mary

No, not all the rooms have the trundle. DH and I stayed in a room with 2 doubles and no trundle. The next trip we had a room with the trundle although we didn't need it as we had one dd in a crib. The next trip we requested the trundle room and my then 3yo dd used it and we were charged an extra fee - I think $15 per night - can't recall for sure!

If you really want or need the trundel and are prepared to pay for it, I would call ahead and put in a request - but be prepared to pay.

Enjoy

We have stayed in numerous rooms in Buildings 14, 15, 16 and 26. We've always had a trundle bed (under the first double bed). I wouldn't say anything. Then when you get into your room check under the first bed. If there's no trundle, then you'll have to get them to switch you.

If you truly need a trundle, don't leave it to chance. Make sure you say it on your reservation and pay for it. Then you are assured one. There have been plenty of people that have posted that have gotten one without asking for one, so it was like a bonus. But there's also a pretty good chance you may not get one, and if it wasn't on your ressie, they are not obligated to change your room, especially if the resort is filled up. Better safe than sorry.

We don't really have to have one. My DD refuses to sleep in the bed with either of us so she insists on sleeping on the floor. I think she thinks it is cool.
I was trying to decide whether to stay in the mansions or the bayou and the trundle was a potential bonus.
I'm too cheap to pay extra for it since she does have the option of sleeping in the bed. I can't wait until she is actually a teenager.

We have stayed in AB of POR at least 10-15 times. There has always been a trundle under one of the two double beds everytime. My grandson has used it several times and we were never charged for it. I believe the only time they would absolutely have to charge you, is if you had 5 in your party. I personally would ask to be in AB and if you have one great, if not, so be it. We had a king bed in AB in August and it never occurred to me to look under to see if one was there. Never thought about it.

I had a trundle in my room without asking for it. Matter of fact, my first time at WDW I stayed at ASMo with my GD's and we had a refrigerator!! That was a pleasant surprise. I felt sure I would be charged for it, but wasn't.

The trundles are just in the double bed rooms. This allows 5 to sleep in these rooms. Marymouse, I would definitely request an AB double room and you will probably get a trundle. Since the trundle slides along the floor, your daughter can sleep almost on the floor and still be comfortable!

We had trundle on the Bayou side, building #16. Two double beds.

From what I remember the trundles are only available in the AB rooms.

Thanks so much for all your help. This whole vacation is a surprise for her and if we actually get a trundle it will just be icing on the cake. She will be thrilled. We'll just see what we get.

Mary
