Do a lot of cast members book room after the holiday party?

Right now I have a split stay. First half off-site, second half at AoA. I'm struggling to find a room for the first half. I've tried moving dates around and all, but it's that one night, November 30th, that is proving to be a headache. It's not like there are a ton of choices at this point anyway, but I have seen occasional availability of AoA or the cabins at FW.... all except for 11/30. I noticed this is the night MK closes early for the cast member party. Does this have anything to do with it?

I keep hoping to find a cancellation. Maybe at the 60 day mark? Is that when full payment is due?

I also looking that time frame. I felt the CP at Epcot was the reason or perhaps just the holidays.

Keep looking because people cancel all the time.

Are you just trying to find one night? Disney's booking algorithms are not kind to those trying to book short stays, especially lately. You might have to keep tinkering to find something that fits what you need.

To answer your last question, package payments are due 30 days out, room only must be cancelled 5 days out without penalty. I'm trying to nail down a trip 30 days from now and saw a bit more availability open up than what was showing before, but not much! This fall/early winter is seemingly harder to book than ever before.

I suppose compared to many people's trips, my stay is short. Only 6 nights. I was able to find 3 nights in a row at AoA at the end, but I can't find 3 nights in a row at the beginning. I'm fine with a split stay of two hotels, but I'm not up for more. So I'm not looking for just that night of the 30th, it's just odd that i can find availability for dates before and after that single night. That night has been causing me search issues for weeks, so I'm trying to figure out why. Perhaps if I figure out why, I can figure out a way to find a room! LOL!

There are actually a couple choices for rooms on the 30th, but they're not in my budget or themed in a way I'm willing to pay that much for. I really love the AoA theme for my kids... totally worth paying the premium for us. ;)

I'd really like to try the cabins at FW for my first 3 nights... I've heard it's pretty for the holidays. But I'd consider other hotels with fun themes.

And thanks for the info. 30 days. I'll keep checking as it gets closer. :thumbsup2

Good luck. This fall/early winter has been frustrating for MANY folks. :-)

This is really helpful information. I've been looking every day for something to open up at WL for the weekend I currently have a Dolphin stay...but didn't know if there were any "tricks or tips."

This fall/early winter is unusually though, for various reasons. Good luck!
